To date respondents have 100%  in favour of the idea.

• Read this in the News last week and I think this is a brilliant idea

• Since it was first suggested it has become apparent that a large amount of residents are now using their own shopping bags.

• I hope your scheme to ban plastic bags works well for you. It will encourage others to try to get a similar scheme up and running in their own town.

• I've shopped with my own bags for 20 years.  There is the occasional emergency when one is caught without even a string bag

• A great initiative

• This campaign sends out the right signals about our businesses and their customers.

• A very good and important move.

• Hessian/cotton bags as "The Bran Tub" in Petersfield use/sell only cost 50p each

• Certainly hope this can become a reality. I already have stopped using carrier bags as much as possible.

• I’d like to go plastic bag free in Doncaster
